PHEW !  What a fantastic weekends action from the second round of the 2st Nationals from Hawkstone Park, another awsome event from the 2st guys, great racing, weather, action and atmosphere all made this an event realy special, full report on its way with results. Our 125mx.com award winners for this round were as follows, the 'Holeshot' award was snatched again by that man Dave Gafney, the temptation of yet another prize spurred him on to take his best start of the weekend, we also give an award to the rider who shows true determination, a sort of 'true grit award' this had nowhere else to go but into the hands of Jacob Jones for putting in 5 hard moto's and digging in and giving it 100%, well done Jacob.  Our holeshot award goe's out on every second moto, but on Sunday we treated the 125 class to yet another award, this time the second race of sunday (which is actualy their 4th race, so dont get used to it lads !) This was cleaned up by Ashley Crossley just nicking it by a wheel, well done Ash'.

Here's a link to some of our images of the weekend

The ACU 2st series hit the deep sand of Mepal in Cambridgeshire this weekend, and the scorching heatwave added to the cause, the trace had over 50'000 gallons of water laid onto it, but still the sand was bottomless. It was Christian 'Turbo' Tayor who took the openclass honours on his cr500, good starts and sheer grunt helped him on his way to a fine overall victory, he was beaten by TMUK's Stuart Edmonds in two moto's on that sweet 250, but some bad luck while passing backmarkers dropped 'Stu' and he lost valuable points and missed the overall, and it was yet another TMUK 250 nailing 3rd in the hands on the regining 125 Champ, Jim Davies. Jim does seem to be getting dialed in on the bigger bike. In the 125 capacity class it was a brilliant clean sweep for young Josh Waterman, who had his KTM wound wide open (for most of the day) as he dominated this round, so impressive was Josh the organisers did and engine check !  Taking the runner up slot was fast starting James Dunn on his RM, who was chased by Bryn Clarke who's back on a 2st after going to the darkside for a while

----------------------------------------------------------

Round 3 of the MCF 2st class blasted out onto the well prepped hilly venue that is Canada Height's, it was Luke Remmer setting pole in qualifying with a brilliant flying lap, although the racing threw up some great close battles, the overall was taken by Jamie Smith onboard his KX, Jamie was charging today but never really had consistent starts and had to work hard, as fellow KX pilot and pole man, Remmer had three real good motos to secure second overall, and yet again it was that man 'Willet' making headlines as a midweek practice incident left dave with dislocated and broken knuckles. Taped up and ignoring the pain the ''Ironman'' performed some breath taking passes on route to what looked like another overall victory, but while making the pass for the lead in the final moto his YZ caught a rock and wrapped the gear lever solid, a quickstop to see the problem and try to cure it dropped Willet down out side the top 20, but in his normal dont give a damm attitude, he unbelievably raced back into a fine 8th place putting some of the fastest laps of that moto. The 125's still keep producing some of the best racing for spectators to watch and that class alone is worth the entry fee, go and see one soon !

---------------------------------------------------------

Our front fender decals are back in stock for all you guys wanting to take part in our  'holeshot' award program's, you will need our decals as we only include machines running these, the decals are FOC and can be collected from the organisers or shipped out direct. REMEMBER  NO DECALS NO WIN !

The National 2st Championship took place this weekend from Armthorpe moto parc, with three seperate classes for 2st racers, 125, 250 and open classes. This new 2st series run by Darren Hudson seems to have captured the attention of the UK's growing army of 2st racers, with round two nearly fully booked already. We continue to help and promote all 2st racing here in the UK, so we were happy to sponsor the 125cc class via a holeshot award, super fast gating earned KTM mounted Dave Gaffney his award,  well done Dave and lets see if you can do the same at Hawkstone ?

And here's a picture of that start/

One rider taking a huge soil sample was our very own Mark 'Mac' Donnel, over jumping the big stepdown he blew his rear tyre and the resulting slide sent him off the following  tabletop at an angle even he could not save, get well soon mate. Here's a pic of you in better shape that day

Its all happening here in the UK as the ACU dropped the gate on their 2st series from the spectacular Norley circuit, it was Josh Waterman dominating the 125 class on board his 125mx.com prepped KTM and a flying Matt Moffat took the open class honours after a ding dong battle with the bermblasting CR500 with Christian Taylor onboard, full report and results are here and just click on the two stroke button

The 1st round of the MCF 2st series blasted off from Foxhills this sunday, here's Pondo's veiw of proceedings

The vast package of races that is the Red Bull Pro Nationals made their 2010 bow at former des Nations and Grand Prix circuit Foxhill Moto Park on the 14th of March - the supporting Fuchs Silkolene 2 Stroke British Championships ran the Open class on Saturday which saw James Noble sweep imperiously to a trio of wins aboard the steel framed Proppa.com Honda CR500. Behind him, some typically frenetic 2 stroke racing saw a frantic four-way battle for the podium with Stuart Edmonds coming out on top ahead of reigning champion Mark Eastwood, Nathan Parker and Dave Willett, a welcome sight after the series stalwart‘s lengthy absence last year with a serious knee injury - Willet would lose out on victory in the final moto by less than a tenth of a second to Noble, so that knee must be fairly well healed…

In the 125 class of the 2 stroke Championships, Dave Willett took the race one win ahead of reigning champion Jim Davies, who was recovering from a midpack start, followed by the Kawasakis of Jamie Smith and Luke Remmer, before the race was stopped prematurely by the collapse of an inflatable arch - race two saw both Willett and Davies on the floor on lap one, James Dunn leading from the off and desperate to get away before the chasing pack closed him down. Jamie Smith, Lloyd Morgan and Luke Remmer indulged in a three way battle before Smith broke free and began to run Dunn down. Morgan and Remmer would be scrapping all race, whilst Smith bridged the gap to Dunn, taking a great win by less than a second from Dunn, Remmer and Morgan. Willett finished with a spectacular flourish in moto three, however, winning by a country mile ahead of the TM of Davies and young Dunn  - both Smith and Remmer were in the hunt but Smith would crash out of contention whilst Remmer would collide with another rider whilst leading, damaging his front wheel and effectively ending his contribution to proceedings.

2010 Team news: We have a new rider onboard this season, with Adam Reynolds moving on we wanted to go back and concentrate on the 125 class again, Nick Banks stays on board as long term team rider as does 09's recruit Mark McDonnell, these two work hard and have been a great asset to our team and a pleasure to support. And now we're very happy to welcome long time 125cc racer Mark Bland. Mark has contested the DEP 125 class for years now and will slot right in here, we have known Mark for some time and its a pleasure to be able to offer him this position. Talon Engineering is delighted to announce the introduction of brand new wheels for the general marketplace. Return to the full news listing

Following extensive market research and listening closely to dealers and importers, the company is introducing an entry level wheel set as an addition to the Talon range.

Talon has in no way compromised on quality and are confident that the T3’s will fill a void in many fields. To give the club rider a good product at the right price, the hubs have been designed in such a way that machining costs can be reduced. The design itself is a 3 piece construction, which is another completely unique idea from Talon. Also, to hold what we deem to be a very keen price we have decided to make the wheel sets available in only one color combination, being black T3 rims with black and silver T3 hubs. The RRP of the T3’s will be £399-00 per pair

Our modified 125 shootout was a great success, we took some trick machinery to the bottomless loam of Essex MX this week and rode each one again and again to try to find which is best, we did not want stock bikes, but actual race bikes used by some of our fastest 125cc racers, we found the TM though to be far from modified !  What we confirmed is that each and everyone of us want something different from our ride and we personalise it to suit our very own style, BUT was there a bike that everyone liked, could such a bike exist ?  Surprisingly after talking to the owners of these rocketships one comment that needs to be made is the maintenance of these kick ass 125's were no more than any stocker, gone are the days of a superfast motor having the life expectancy of a worm on a hot rock !    full report HERE

-----------------------------------------------------

The final round of the BYMX took place at Foxhills moto parc with some great news for the premix fans, Ryan Houghton took the B-W 85 class title on just that an 85 !   The class has some rather expensive and exotic 150f machines rattling around in its ranks and yet the KTM rider lead the series from the start and riding the last couple of rounds in 'safe' mode controlling the series from the front and he took the title at this former GP venue, also open class winner Josh Waterman blasted a 125mx.com sx125 for sundays 3 races and took the overall for the event in a feild on 250f's, emmbarassing plenty of riders on the little 125 up those massive climbs ?

------------------------------------------------------

We are looking at a private 2st day at a seriously nice sand track in the south-east, we will have spaces for 50 riders only, it will be open to all 2st riders esspecially the regular crew, payment will have to be made before we accept booking as there were a few riders not turning up at the last 2st day which stopped others attending !  More info will be posted soon.

-------------------------------------------------------

Whitby, saw some great 2st action and the full report is now listed, Pondo was in full effect and has some great pic's too.  Get well soon Lloyd Morgan who took a big hit today.

------------------------------------------------------

ELSWORTH 2ST DAY :  A BIG Thank you to everyone who attended the event, very special thanks go to Andy Lee and all the staff for working with us on this project and allowing us a day of our own, and for running an open circuit with no groups as everyone was happy going on and off as they pleased, and delivering a fully prepped circuit, how nice that looked today ! . Some great riding today without any incidents too, a perfect hassle free day of 2st fun. We did have a few photographers there today and we'll get links to their sites real soon, but for now here's a link to some Karen snapped off.

Thanks to all the 1st timers at Elsworth today and here's the circuits contact number as promised, so you can check opening times as you all asked to return soon, call Andy on 01480831152 and tell him you rode the 2st event !

-----------------------------------------------------

Jim Davies  Got that monkey off his back after taking the overall at Landrake, the TMUK flyer has been on a mission this year and apart from some biased officials decieding against him at an earlier event he would of took an overall there too !  The West London racer has stepped up to the plate as sole TMUK pilot and has lifted his game to a new high, that TM sure makes things look easy for him as it howls around the circuit although he may say its him !  WELL DONE Jim lad, its about time dude and yes you do owe me a beer !

-----------------------------------------------------

WELL DONE   Ryan Houghton taking the overall at this weeks BYMX BW85 class at Little Silver with a great  3rd, 1st, 1st, 1st,1st score against some rather fast and expensive 150f machines  Ryan piloted his 85 KTM as if it was on rails, also great results from other 2st racers there saw, Jake Millward nail 2nd o-a and the flying Ben Howell nailing 4th, infact 7 of the top ten were 2sts !  Well done lads.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Landrake promised to deliver so much for round 4 of the 09 series, and what was delivered was a spectacle, Pondo's report is loaded with some great shots with another ''disc-full'' being sent as we speak. Jim Davies has revelled in his capacity as lead TM pilot as we're missing JP at the moment, Jim has jumped to take the lead in the standings, Dave 'iron-man' Willet susstained a bad eye injury and had to call a halt to racing for the day. No doubt the Yamaha man will be hungry on his return !.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Congratulations  to young Michael Hughes for his great ride at his first ever 2st Championship, he raced his 144 KTM to a fine 3rd overall in the open class !  Also the 'Iron Man' Willet who pulled yet another great 125 overall win and what would of surley been an open win without being collected in a first corner pile-up and starting well down the feild and with machine problems sustained happering his progress, the competition must be going green with envy. One rider out of luck was TM's Jim Davies who just missed taking the 125 overall after a yellow flag incident were he was penalised 1 minute.

----------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------

85cc Flyer & premix junkie,  Ryan Houghton Did not catch a breath after winning the BYMX event in sunny Scotland as he collected fresh supplies on route to the European Youth Championship in Poland, he qualified 8th in his group and went on to score a 16th after hitting the gate in the first moto, and the nailed a fine 5th in the second moto. This rising 2st star has a bright 125cc future ahead of him for sure and the 2010 125 GP series is calling !

-----------------------------------------------------------------

As you know we preach  the premix to everyone and one young racer by the name of Connor Walkley has just got a shiney new 250 2st, Connor who ripped apart the UK youth scene on a Kawasaki 125cc has jumped up to the youth open this year, and the 250 2st is being prepared for future events and we hope this young racer is out on it soon, as he is one lad that can still race a 2st.  It will be good to get next years 250cc class going so we can see some 2 v 4st battles, very interesting times ahead indeed.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Round 3 from Caistor  We will have report soon along with results, our roving reporter 'Pondo' had offered a helping hand to Adrian Jessop who had a nasty crash early into the event, Pondo's ever helpful response was to help load AJ's van and also attend the hospital for a while. Hope your not to sore AJ and we'll see you soon mate, Pondo your a star.

------------------------------------------------------------------

GET WELL SOON  Here's a shout out to Dave Greenwood who was involved in a crash at Cusses, its from Walker, Budge, Hel-yer, Tablit, Claxton, all of the guys at 125mx.com and all of ya mates and fellow riders. Also  special thanks to Gareth at pro-decals for sorting out the stickers at such short notice. Josh Walker said he saw Dave yesterday and he was waiting to go home, Dave's looking stronger every day and will soon be wide open on the factory sxs zimmer !   Here's to a speedy and full recovery mate.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Round 2 of the series from Cusses  The report and images from the latest round have been uploaded, so go check them out. Sadly missing from round 2 was series Champion Jon Pettit who we all had hoped would be back racing after missing the first round due to an injury, sadly this injury was far worse than we all expected and Jon may miss a big chunk of the 09 season, get well soon mate and all the best from all your mates at the series.

At present the cost looks like being just £25 the same as a normal days riding ! You need to book in for this as we will not accept day entries and places are limited.
